Some of the things that are spinning frequently around the ole iTunes.
I really like the new Matthew Dear cd. I think of it as Trent Reznor’s music if it didn’t suck and all sound the same. The music Trent Reznor wishes he could make. The music Matthew Dear makes. Yeah.
I got the new of Montreal a tidwink early. Not because I have music industry contacts, but because I pre-order shit early like the rest of the hoi polloi. This is one of my favorite tracks, if only because it involves making out with other people’s cousins.
I like Teenage Fanclub. And it sounds like good fall music. That is all. It’s weird, too, because there’s a song called “Fall” on this album that would probably be much more timely. It even talks about leaves falling from trees. But I don’t like the song “Fall” as much as I like “Sometimes I Don’t Need to Believe.”
Pitchfork didn’t really like the new Ra Ra Riot cd that much. I did. Fuck them, it’s good. This is maybe the best song.
And, for shits and giggles, The Dandy Warhols. Shit is good. Shit is real good.
